Perform diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures according to established procedures, including completing requisitions and related paperwork and entering patient information into radiology information and image processing systems. Correlate clinical history with the examination to be performed. Position patients and explain clinical procedures. Perform venipuncture for contrast media injections as directed by the Radiologist. Operate radiographic and computerized imaging equipment, process images, and archive acquired data. Label permanent records and check technical results to ensure departmental standards are followed. Assist Radiologists and associate imaging physicians during cardiac, neuro, and body imaging procedures as circulation and scrub support. Monitor patients during procedures and respond to possible contrast media reactions or other emergent situations per facility policies; perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation if required. Image studies using radiography equipment and departmental information systems, including verifying patient identification, collating images with requisitions, and requesting previous studies. Report malfunctioning equipment to the Supervisor. Facilitate workflow by ensuring requisition information meets departmental standards, regulating inpatient examination time, and arranging porters as needed. Perform quality control duties including scheduling and conducting equipment tests per manufacturer guidelines, recording results, identifying malfunctions, and notifying the Supervisor. Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement/LEAN programs and perform quality assurance checks (e.g., patient/physician satisfaction, booking protocols)
