The Registered Nurse will provide client-centered mental health, addiction, and general nursing care to older individuals within an inter-professional team. They are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the clinical environment while adhering to professional standards and organizational policies.
The Geriatric Mental Health Services is currently seeking a full-time, temporary (18months) Registered Nurse to work on Geriatric Admission Unit A (GAU-A). As a member of an inter-professional team, you will provide client-centered mental health, addiction and general nursing care to older individuals from diverse backgrounds with mental health and addiction issues. As well, you will ensure safety and security of the client care environment, and practice in accordance with College of Nurses of Ontario professional standards, Canadian Standards for Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing and Gerontology, CAMH Policies and Procedures, and with the CAMH Practice Model of Care.

Candidates must be a registered member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario and possess current B.C.L.S. (CPR) certification. Preference is given to those with a B.Sc.N and specialized certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or Gerontology.
