Union: OPSEU New or Replacement Position: Replacement Site: Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Department: Outpatient Pharmacy Reports to: Manager Wage Range: $32.32 to $37.26 per hour (start rate is non-negotiable and in accordance with collective agreement requirements) Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week Status: Temporary Full-Time (18 Months Contract)

Working in conjunction with pharmacists in maintaining high standards of client relations Assisting pharmacists in accurately and efficiently performing all technical aspects relating to prescription dispensing responsibilities Preparing or compounding extemporaneous products using appropriate techniques under supervision of a pharmacist Performing activities relating to the maintenance and operation of Outpatient Pharmacy services Performing other duties consistent with the job classification, as required
Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Program at an accredited college or recognized equivalent required Registration as a Pharmacy Technician (Part A) in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists required Ability to work under minimal supervision and to manage competing priorities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to learn and troubleshoot changing technologies/machinery Two years practical and related experience preferred Previous hospital experience with unit dose system and intravenous admixture service, preferred Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job
Candidates must have completed a Pharmacy Technician Program and hold a valid registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists. Two years of practical experience, particularly in a hospital setting with unit dose and intravenous systems, is preferred.
