Job Description

As a member of Mental Health and Addiction Services, the Community Mental Health Nurse is an integral member of the multidisciplinary team providing intensive case management to individuals with chronic and persistent mental illness. These services are provided within an individual and group context. Responsibilities include intensive case management, medication management, crisis intervention, counselling, goal planning, consultation to community agencies, group/community education, student mentoring, documentation, client/family and public education, advocacy, and mental health promotion.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing or equivalent and possess at least three years of experience in a mental health setting. A valid driver's license, CPR, and BLS certification are required for this position.
