About the role

Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, feeding, and safe transfers while promoting their independence and comfort. Collaborate with the care team to deliver compassionate care and contribute to resident care planning and quality improvement initiatives.

Company Description We are S&R Group and for over 60 years we have been building communities "where friendships flourish and life is enriched". We are looking for people who, like us, believe the work we do has a positive impact on their community and that together we can continue supporting our Residents and their families.

Job Description

Long Term Care is a unique experience, when you come to work you are coming into a Resident’s home. Your feedback and input is used to improve our daily practices, and your energy goes a long way to putting smiles on our Residents’ faces. We provide a fulsome orientation to set you up for success, and ongoing opportunities to grow your skills and take on specialized roles. Every day is different — and every day you make a difference. If you were working for us as an PSW, here are some of the things you would have done last week: Assisted residents with daily living activities, including safe lifts and transfers, bathing, and feeding, promoting independence, comfort, and dignity. Worked side-by-side with RPNs and your care team to deliver safe, compassionate care. Completed POC tasks, ensuring resident information is accurate and up to date. Actively participated in shift reports, care conferences, and team huddles, contributing to planning and improving resident care. Supported residents with mobility, personal care, and nutrition while noticing changes that matter. Created meaningful moments by connecting with residents, celebrating milestones, and making them feel valued. Participated in specialized programs or roles such as Behavioural Supports, Rehab or Quality Improvement, contributing to advanced care initiatives. Mentored new team members through structured programs, sharing experience and strengthening the care culture. Ready to make a real difference in the lives of residents and grow your career every single day? Please note that we currently recruiting for Casual positions. We prioritize promoting from within and support our employees' educational needs because we care for the team we have put together. We come to our workplace each day understanding that we are entering our Residents' Home, and we are there to support them. While we don't take ourselves seriously, we take our jobs seriously and love to have fun with each other and the Residents! Qualified applicants will be contacted for interviews.
