About the role

The Health Care Aide provides personal care, hygiene assistance, and companionship to clients in their homes. They are also responsible for meal preparation, light housekeeping, and documenting client observations and care provided.

Company Overview Qualicare Homecare is seeking compassionate, caring, and reliable individuals to join our team as Health Care Aides. Qualicare Lethbridge offers home care services that focus on enhancing our clients' quality of life and providing peace of mind for their families.

Job Summary The Health Care Aide is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of a care manager and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs. The Health Care Aide is responsible for observing clients, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care performed.

The Health Care Aide will be assigned in a manner that promotes quality, continuity and safety of a client’s care.

Qualifications

Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse, nursing student). Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain Driver's license and own transportation required Access to Internet/mobile phone Criminal Record Check (recent within 1 year) Ability to speak, read and write English fluently Be registered in the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory License:

Class 5 License

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent and possess current CPR/First Aid training. A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and registration in the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory are required.
