The Health Care Aide provides personal care, hygiene assistance, and companionship to clients in their homes. They are also responsible for documenting observations and following established care plans to ensure client safety.

Job Summary The Health Care Aide is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of a care manager and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs. The Health Care Aide is responsible for observing clients, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care performed.
The Health Care Aide will be assigned in a manner that promotes quality, continuity and safety of a client’s care.
This position is funded through the Alberta Youth Employment Incentive (AYEI) program. To be eligible for this funded position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
AYEI-Funded Position – Eligibility Requirements Must hold a valid Health Care Aide (HCA) certificate Be 24 years of age or younger at the time of receiving an offer of employment Be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident (PR) of Canada Please note: Eligibility for this position is subject to the requirements of the AYEI funding program. Candidates who do not meet the above criteria may not be eligible for this particular funded position.

Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse, nursing student). Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain Driver's license and own transportation required Access to Internet/mobile phone Criminal Record Check (recent within 1 year) Ability to speak, read and write English fluently Be registered in the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory License:
Class 5 License
