Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the Psychologist position will be located out of Syl Apps Youth Centre as part of the Forensic Mental Health Program. The successful candidate will provide psychological assessments, treatment to clients and family members through psychotherapeutic interventions, and consultation on complex cases. The Psychologist will also play a key role in developing clinical training initiatives to strengthen the skills and expertise of interdisciplinary team members.
Ph.D. in Psychology or an equivalent combination of education and experience..
Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario and in good standing..
Clinical assessment experience in child and adolescent mental health..
Proficiency in psychological testing, report writing, diagnosis, and risk assessment..
Training or experience in evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, or trauma-informed approaches..
Strong written and verbal communication skills..
Clinical, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively on an interdisciplinary team..
Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic treatment environment..
Successful completion of applicable criminal record screening and pre-employment medical requirements.
