Recognizing the unique needs of Tumbler Ridge and surrounding communities, after the tragedy on February 10, 2026, CFD has established dedicated local operations (providing in-person, virtual and outreach) to ensure children, youth, and families have consistent access to responsive, integrated supports. The team works collaboratively with community partners including Foundry, Northern Health Authority and School District 59 to deliver services that are timely, relationship‑based, and grounded in the needs of the community. Together, we bring positive energy, expertise, and a commitment to working creatively alongside families and community partners to deliver wrap-around support for children, youth, and their families. The Role Reporting within the Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) Provincial Services Branch and the Provincial Deaf and Hard of Hearing Branch, the Team Assistant plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Tumbler Ridge Strong Child and Youth Support Centre (TRS CYSC), providing administrative and program support to CYMH Clinicians, Team Leaders, Managers, and other stakeholders within a dynamic service environment. As the first point of contact for client intake and public inquiries, this position requires strong customer service skills, sound judgment, and an understanding of the diverse needs and challenges faced by children, youth, families, and community partners accessing mental health services. This role may also provide support to other Ministry of Children and Family Development services.
