MRI Technologist (Casual)

Performs magnetic resonance imaging procedures as outlined in MRI procedure Manual; Utilizes technical/medical judgement/knowledge to evaluate image quality, and adjusts accordingly; Ensures proper screening procedure for patient and anyone else entering magnet room; Assess the patient’s condition prior to, during, and after procedures; maintains awareness of procedural complications and reactions during and after procedures; recognizes the conditions requiring immediate attention and initiates appropriate response; documents procedures to ensure precise and accurate procedural records are maintained; Performs other duties as required. Job Requirements: Completion of MRI Certification Exam required; Contrast injection course, required; Registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologist of Ontario (CMRITO) required; Registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologist (CAMRT) asset; Experience with Siemens MRI considered an asset.
