Job Description

About This Opportunity Emergency Medicine physician wanted! Yarmouth Regional Hospital (YRH) is seeking emergency physicians located in in the Town of Yarmouth in Southwest Nova Scotia this regional hospital serves a population of approximately 60,000, in three counties. The successful candidate may also participate in teaching through the family medicine residency program based in Yarmouth and/or with medical students through Dalhousie University. YRH was originally founded in 1912 and has developed into a vast health care complex serving the 58,000 people of Shelburne, Yarmouth, and Digby Counties. YRH has 124 inpatient beds and provides a range of primary and secondary services through in-patient, outpatient and satellite programs.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

College of Family Physicians of Canada Emergency Medicine certification would be considered an asset all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS) all family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patient (CCrISP) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) emergency department experience an asset

Requirements
