Job Description

Dr. Mark Kazimirski's Practice is a privately operated family medicine clinic in Windsor, Nova Scotia, using the MedAccess EMR system and operating weekdays from 8 AM to 5 PM. The clinic currently has two physicians and offers a collaborative practice environment with informal mentorship, regular team discussions, and support for in-office procedures. The practice follows a cost-sharing overhead model and is approved for both Longitudinal Family Medicine (LFM) and Fee-For-Service (FFS) billing models. The clinic is looking for a physician interested in a part-time practice. Physicians at this practice enjoy the flexibility to set their own schedules while working within a supportive, integrated care environment. The clinic offers full practice management support, access to shared services, and opportunities to participate in hospital-based and community-based care. Compensation is through the Longitudinal Family Medicine (LFM) model. The clinic has a supportive team including a Medical Office Assistant, Billing Specialist, Health Service Lead and Health Service Manager.

Responsibilities

ensure the delivery of comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness be accountable for appropriate workload and practice continuum of patient care with health care providers within your practice and/or community provide care and coordination of community-based care, secondary and tertiary level heath care build to capacity within the first two years operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority work toward same day or next day access for the practice population work in collaboration with other team members in the practice to best suit the community’s health needs work with other providers to provide after-hours access and emergency coverage when required participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details in a provincially approved EMR which is accessible to all collaborating team members Work alongside 2 family physicians If desired, physicians have the option to conduct procedures in-office or at the local hospital with nursing support in ambulatory care. Expected Hours permanent, full or part time available Remuneration Remuneration type is either Longitudinal Family Medicine payment model or a Fee for Service payment model.
