Provide nursing care to an assigned group of patients/residents according to established policies and procedures and the Standards of Practice for Licensed Practical Nurses of British Columbia.
Function as an independent practitioner while recognizing situations requiring RN/RPN collaborative support or clinical intervention.
Assist patients/residents in meeting physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs consistent with Northern Health mission, vision, and values and established protocols.
Participate in developing care plans.
Conduct assessments.

Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as a practicing LPN registrant.
Current basic cardiac life support certification.
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform CPR procedures appropriate for the area of service.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to work effectively with others and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
Ability to operate related equipment.
