About the role

The Registered Practical Nurse will provide medically-supervised withdrawal care and medication initiation for adult clients with substance use and mental health disorders. They will work within an interprofessional team to support recovery using harm reduction and measurement-based care principles.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Medical Withdrawal Service.

We are seeking a fulltime, permanent Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join this supportive and collaborative team.

MWS serves adult clients with severe substance use and/or complex pain disorders plus mental health and chronic medical conditions, who require medically-supervised withdrawal and initiation of medications to stabilize their conditions and support their recovery.

Using principles of harm reduction and measurement-based care, Registered Practical Nurses are an essential part of this interprofessional team.

Successful RPN candidates are well supported during a robust orientation, which includes dedicated support from the Advance Practice Clinical Leader and Nurse Educator.
