Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at Rainbow Lodge. In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position contributes to the delivery of quality resident care, professional nursing practice and the enhancement of geriatric services in a Long-Term Care setting through nursing practice assessment and development, clinical consultation, quality improvement, care coordination, staff health and other leadership activities. The Clinical Practice Lead will work as part of multidisciplinary team and work collaboratively with others to positively impact nursing care in Long Term Care nursing practice. Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days, 06:45 to 14:45 Qualfications

Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.

Five (5) years recent experience in gerontology and demonstrated competencies in leadership or the equivalent combination of training and experience. Skills and Abilities:

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing at all levels.

Effective interpersonal skills including excellent listening.

Physical and mental ability to carry out the duties of the position.

Ability to supervise staff.

Ability to organize own workload, establish priorities and work independently.

Ability to operate related equipment including computer software applications.

Commitment to continuous quality improvement.

Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and clinical standards.

Ability to foster working relationships, both internal and external at all levels.

Ability to analyze and problem solve complex issues towards creative solutions.

Ability to anticipate and respond to changing priorities or unforeseen opportunities.
