Establish a relationship to guide and support youth through mentorship, role modelling, and positive reinforcement Supervise children/youth at home and in the community Complete and maintain documentation of daily activities and observations Participate in the Care Team through the ongoing development of care plans and programs Perform routine general program responsibilities such as cleaning and organization
Direct experience working with youth with complex behavioural and mental health needs Knowledge of child and youth care mental wellness best practices Knowledge of effective home care processes and procedures Trauma Informed Care understanding and proven experience Strong oral and written communication skills Strong technology and computer skills Completion of a Degree/Diploma in Child and Youth Care or Social Work is an asset Suicide prevention training is an asset Mental Health First Aid is an asset
Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License Alberta 10-year Driver's Abstract (10 years driving experience is not required) Alberta auto insurance with $2-million liability coverage Valid Standard First Aid with CPR Level C + AED (two day in person training completed) Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check obtained within the last 6 months Intervention Record Check obtained from Children Services within the last 6 months Your own reliable four door vehicle to transport clients in
