Perform a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgement, skill, and ingenuity to produce quality images.
Review and document patient medical history as it relates to performing exams.
Assess diagnostic quality of individual studies and determine necessary corrective measures if repeat/additional views are required.
Perform quality control practices to comply with equipment maintenance and HARP regulations.
Recognize equipment malfunctions and log errors/equipment concerns; report immediately to Senior Technologist or manager and arrange service as required.
Perform clerical duties in the absence of clerical staff or as required.
Comply with Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA).
Orientate and train new hires into the DI department and modality specifics.
Identify and implement positive change opportunities using the LEAN change model departmentally.
Participate in competency assessment/development.
Attend organized education events and maintain continued education requirements.
Perform other related duties as required
Temporary Backfill Start Date: To be negotiated Hours of Work: 8-hour shifts, days, nights, and weekends. Regularly scheduled for up to 24 hours per week (48/pay).
$36.84 - $50.24 per hour plus applicable shift premiums for evenings, nights and weekends.

Graduate of a recognized school of Radiography.
Active member in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as a team member.
Ability to work without supervision.
Conscientious, efficient, reliable, responsible, and flexible.
Ability to provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, staff, physicians, and volunteers.
Must adhere to duties of workers under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Effective written and verbal communication in English; additional languages are an asset.
