The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Under the direction of the Program Director - Genetics and Metabolism, the incumbent is responsible for the coordination of the applicable genetics/metabolic program involving:

Genetic counselling and provision of comprehensive follow-up of patients in collaboration with the genetics team. Screening and Assessment. Providing genetic counselling. Administrative Duties. Provision of Genetic Education. Research and Professional Development.

Experience

Previous related experience in a medical setting including counselling and teaching preferred.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

Master’s of Science degree in Genetics or Genetic Counselling from a recognized training program required.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

Board eligible/board certified with the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) and/or the Canadian Association of Genetic Counselling (CAGC) required. Eligible for membership with the Canadian Association of Genetic Counsellors (CACG) and/or The National Society for Genetic Counselors (NSGC).
