The Certified Resident Programs Aide plans, implements, and evaluates individual and group activation programs for residents. They are also responsible for monitoring resident behavior and maintaining accurate program and resident records.

Reporting to the Resident Programs Manager, the Certified Activity/Recreation Aide is responsible for providing high quality care while maintaining a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff. Key Responsibilities: Plan, implement, evaluate, develop and revise both individual and group activation programs based on assessed needs under the guidance of the Supervisor. Set up and clean activity area as necessary and transport residents to and from programs. Monitor the behavior and condition of residents during programs and report any significant changes to the Supervisor and nursing staff as appropriate. Maintain program and resident records according to department policy. Communicate participation by residents to registered staff.
Proof of successful completion of an approved Recreation and Leisure Services /Gerontology Diploma or Degree program required. Knowledge and demonstrated experience in one-one/group program planning, care planning, resident assessments, implementation and evaluation for geriatric population especially those cognitively impaired.
