Physiotherapy - Rehabilitation Job Stream: Non-Clinical Union: CUPE Anticipated Start Date - End Date: 08/17/2026 - 08/23/2027 Reason for Term: Maternity Leave FTE: 0.70 Anticipated Shift: Days;Evenings;Weekends Work Arrangement: In Person Daily Hours Worked: 7.50 Annual Base Hours: 1950 Salary: $23.755, $24.450, $25.170, $25.910, $26.673 Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Reporting to the Manager of Rehab Physiotherapy, the incumbent is responsible for the effective, efficient provision of reception and secretarial support for the Rehab Physiotherapy Program.

Duties: include:

Entering referrals and maintaining Excel databases. Receiving incoming phone calls. Taking and relaying messages. Booking appointments. Typing correspondence. May be required to learn and use department specific systems.

Experience

One year directly related experience required, preferably in a health care setting including managing multiple telephone lines. Previous experience with workload measurement systems, centralized waiting lists, web-based scheduling systems such as EPR and Accuro an asset.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required. Successful completion of a recognized secretarial training program required. A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Certification/Licensure/Registration Not Applicable Qualifications and Skills

  • Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
  • Typing 50 wpm required.
  • Knowledge of personal computers and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
  • Medical terminology preferred.
  • May be required to view, enter data, maintain data bases, excel worksheets or other computer software of the department.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The incumbent must be able to demonstrate good judgement, initiative and diplomacy and have the ability to coordinate workflow and develop efficiencies.
  • Demonstrates initiative to set goals and objectives on an annual basis.

Physical Requirements

Frequent use of a computer. Ability to cope with frequent interruptions and function in a stressful environment. Frequent contact with patients, staff and public. Recognized ability to adapt to change.
