Job Description

Reporting to the Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the screening and coordination of initial service requests for all programs within Mental Health and Addictions Services (MHAS) in the Saskatchewan Health Authority. The Assessor Coordinator - Degree provides screening, triage, assessment for urgency/risk, and coordinates case assignments. The position facilitates crisis response and short-term support for services to clients presenting with a variety of mental health and addictions issues. The Assessor Coordinator - Degree provides consultation to Community Agencies and Programs, regarding services available in Mental Health and Addiction Services (MHAS).

  • Knowledge of concurrent medical, psychiatric and substance abuse
  • Knowledge/ability using MH&A screening to meet mental/physical needs of clients

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in a related Health Science or Social Science discipline and possess a valid Class 5 driver's license. Experience in mental health and addictions is considered an asset, along with knowledge of relevant legislation and crisis intervention techniques.
