Salary Range

$40,612 - $50,775 annually Hours: 37.5 hours per week Shifts: Days Status: Permanent Full-Time

Position Summary

With over 30 million tests per year and 1,300 outpatients served daily, we are at the forefront of pathology and clinical testing. As a valued member of TeamLMP, you will play a key role in supporting the Pathology team. The clerical staff work in a dynamic, collaborative, quality-focused environment.

Duties

Interact with technical, medical and management staff in addition to external clients and partnering hospitals Have opportunity to exercise judgment and decision-making in the provision of moderately complex support service, including: Performing clerical, statistical and financial processing activities Proofreading, typing/word processing and inputting data/information Providing support with the maintenance of electronic and paper information filing/retrieval methods, systems and/or formats

Qualifications

Completion of Grade 12 or recognized equivalent Six (6) months recent related experience Previous on-the-job computer/word processing and database software experience Experience in a Microsoft Office software environment, preferred Experience working in a health care environment, an asset Good organizational and time management skills Good verbal and written communication skills Good telephone, interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to produce work in accordance with Hospital standards Ability to use good judgment in assessing difficult situations Ability to perform routine work independently General knowledge of processes, procedures and standards Knowledge of medical terminology an asset
