Provide quality patient care within a delivery model in accordance with organizational philosophy, policies, and standards of care.
Provide professional and accountable nursing care in accordance with the College of Nurses (CNO) and relevant legislation.
Support the organization-wide Surge Plan for Surge Level 3.
Care for medicine patients assigned to beds in multiple clinical areas within RVH.
Use evidence-based screening tools, techniques, and equipment to develop patient needs and functional goals (as part of the unit’s care model)
Registered Practical Nursing Diploma or equivalent education to practice at full scope.
Completion of a recognized Medication Administration Course.
Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Current BCLS.
Sound knowledge of nursing process and responsibilities of the profession.
Membership in a professional association specific to the nursing service area.
Ability to function independently within scope of practice.
Computer literacy in current software applications
