Assist the Transition Services Supervisor in daily operation and development of the program.
Provide coverage for the Transition Services Supervisor during scheduled absences.
Complete administrative duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Assist with interviewing and hiring Youth Care Practitioners.
Schedule, coordinate, and train casual Youth Care Practitioners.
Provide orientation for new staff.
Coordinate distribution of information to the team.
Schedule meetings.
Perform financial and purchasing responsibilities (e.g., replenishing program supplies).
Provide ongoing mentorship to Youth Care Practitioners.
Participate in ongoing professional development.
Participate in meetings as required and promote positive teamwork and role modelling for young people.
Support the program to reflect The Link treatment philosophy, organizational and Human Resource policies, and program protocols.
Represent the program and organization professionally.
Demonstrate understanding of the Child and Family Services system in Manitoba, including impacts of inter-generational and historical trauma in Indigenous communities.
Create/support an environment of collaboration while contributing and sharing credit with the team

Post-secondary education or combination of education, work experience, and lived experience.
Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous People and the Seven Sacred Teachings.
Experience with supervision, training, and engaging staff.
Experience working with vulnerable youth.
Knowledge of trauma and resilience-informed care.
Strong relationship building skills and experience in de-escalation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Emergency First Aid and CPR Level C.
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, clear Child Abuse Registry check with acceptable Prior Contact checks, and clear Adult Abuse Registry check (within last 3 months).
ASIST certificate preferred.
De-escalation training preferred.
Mental Health First Aid & Safe Talk considered an asset.
Knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and beliefs considered an asset.
Have read the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada Calls to Action and can communicate calls relating to Media and Reconciliation
