Implement all aspects of the day-to-day functioning of the Healing Home program.
Provide ongoing, culturally sensitive care while adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
Be a positive role model at all times and intervene purposefully into youths' daily life events to support agreed-upon goals.
Provide needs-based, trauma-informed, relational child and youth care.
Be aware of the whereabouts of youth at all times as per program dictates and policies.
Interact with youth to help them achieve their goals.
Facilitate wake-up, bedtime, and other daily routines.
Develop, manage, facilitate, and direct daily program activities.
Transport youth to appointments and required activities.
Provide direction, support, and participation in daily chores or tasks with youth.
Develop and implement household routines in conjunction with the Program Supervisor.
Complete required record keeping and report writing.
Distribute and track medications as outlined by Provincial Licensing Standards.
Provide first aid interventions as required.
Observe, evaluate, and record daily life events according to program recording procedures.
Work as a team to ensure consistency in youths' experiences, daily goals, and care plan.
Meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking, and cleaning.
Maintain and clean the home (indoors and outdoors).
Ensure all health and safety standards are met.
Perform other duties as assigned

Post-secondary education or combination of education, work experience, and lived experience may be considered.
Experience working with vulnerable youth.
Knowledge of trauma and resilience-informed care.
Strong relationship building skills and experience in de-escalation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Emergency First Aid and CPR Level C.
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, clear Child Abuse Registry check with acceptable Prior Contact checks, and clear Adult Abuse Registry check (within last 3 months).
ASIST Certificate preferred.
De-escalation training preferred.
Mental Health First Aid & Safe Talk considered an asset.
Knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and beliefs considered an asset.
Have read the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada Calls to Action and can communicate the calls relating to Media and Reconciliation
