Access to Employee Education Assistance Program The Opportunity: The ​ Orthopaedic Technologist role functions efficiently and in a professional manner in all aspects of patient care. As an Allied Health Professionals, the Orthopaedic Technologist(s) work independently and collaboratively to provide care and support to the patient. The Orthopaedic Technologist possesses knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, orthopaedic conditions, wound healing, fracture healing and complications.​ The Orthopaedic Technologist is a paramedically trained individual who performs their duties under the direction of a Physician. The Orthopaedic Technologist collaborates with other members of the health care team, primarily in the orthopaedic department, and occasionally in other areas such as the Plastic Surgery and Emergency Departments. Casting services are provided to both inpatients and outpatients, usually in the orthopaedic clinic, but also as needed in the inpatient areas and operating rooms. The Orthopaedic Technologist organizes the workload and fulfills the responsibilities of the position with a high degree of autonomy, within established guidelines and procedures. Clinical direction and support are provided by the attending physicians or internal staff for unexpected or unusual clinical problem.

$41.63 - $49.45 per hour plus applicable shift premiums for evenings, nights and weekends.
