As a Clinic Assistant you will: Work as a member of an integrated team.

Play a significant role in ensuring that clients/patients have a positive experience with the designated services within a fast paced, high volume clinic environment.

Your work may include: scheduling and booking appointments; typing technical and non-technical material; maintaining filing and computerized patient/client/client database systems; and processing a variety of requisitions.

ABOUT BELLA BELLA, BC: Bella Bella is a beautiful island community off the central coast of British Columbia, 690 km north of Vancouver.

It is surrounded by a magical world of channels, inlets and old growth forest.

It is home to salmon, orcas, humpbacks, bald eagles and the other denizens of the Pacific Northwest.

The climate is mild and the area is a paradise for kayaking, sport fishing, hiking and photography.

Qualifications

Education & Experience Grade 12, Medical Terminology plus one year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to keyboard 45 wpm. Knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to deal with others effectively. Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position. Ability to organize work. Ability to operate related equipment. Closing Statement The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.As per Ministry of Health policy, all health care workers working in publicly-funded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections. Collecting these records will allow for offering of any missing vaccines, and for appropriate actions to be taken in the event of any future exposure to a communicable disease or during outbreaks.
