The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible and accountable for providing high-quality patient care in accordance with the philosophy, policies, and standards of care of Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH), the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), and all relevant legislation. This position is within the Cancer and Palliative Care Inpatient Unit of the Hudson Regional Cancer Program at RVH.
Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Current BCLS.
Post graduate education in Oncology Nursing (RPN) course(s) essential.
Post graduate education in Patient Assessment essential.
Post graduate education in Palliative Nursing (RPN) course(s) preferred.
Post graduate education, CMH de Souza course preferred.
Sound knowledge of nursing process and responsibilities of the profession.
One year current progressive experience in acute care nursing.
Two years current progressive experience in Oncology Nursing preferred.
CANO/ONS membership preferred.
Central Venous Access Device (CVAD) experience as an asset.
Ability to work days, weekends, evenings, and nights
