About the role

The Registered Nurse will support the Psychosis Coordinated Care Service and the Metabolic Clinic by providing case management and medication administration. They will also assist clients in transitioning from inpatient units and help prevent inpatient admissions through stabilization of acute symptoms.

The Outpatient Psychosis Recovery & Treatment Service (PRT) is seeking a part-time, permanent Registered Nurse who will jointly support the Psychosis Coordinated Care Service and the Metabolic Clinic. As a Registered Nurse in the PCCS, you will have an opportunity to support clients transitioning from inpatient units and/or preventing inpatient admission for clients who require stabilization of acute psychotic symptoms. PCCS provides case management support, medication administration to clients including the Injection Clinic supporting the General Psychosis Service (GPS). PCCS offers recovery-focused, therapeutic programming based on HQO standards.

Requirements

Candidates must be members in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario and possess a current B.C.L.S. (CPR) certification. Two years of nursing experience is required, with preference given to those with psychiatric or mental health nursing backgrounds and a B.Sc.N.
