Provide quality patient care within a delivery model in accordance with organizational philosophy, policies, and standards of care. Provide professional, accountable nursing care in accordance with the College of Nurses (CNO) and relevant legislation. Address patient concerns and provide support/resources as needed. Deliver care as part of a multidisciplinary team (physicians, RNs, RPNs, pharmacist, social worker, dietitian, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, home and community care, patient service clerks)
Registered Practical Nursing Diploma or equivalent education to practice at full scope.
Completion of a recognized Medication Administration Course.
Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Current BCLS.
Coronary Care I (CC1) required to obtain within 6 months of hire.
Membership in a professional association specific to nursing service area.
Sound knowledge of nursing process and responsibilities of profession.
Computer literacy in current software applications.
Ability to function independently within scope of practice
