Practice for this role

About the role

The role involves the safe preparation, handling, and administration of investigational products for clinical studies while maintaining accurate inventory and documentation. You will collaborate with investigators and the research team to support participant visits and ensure study blinding is protected.

About the Role

We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) or Pharmacist to support our Centricity Research team at our London, Ontario location on a casual basis. In this unblinded role, you will support clinical studies with a focus on the safe preparation, handling, dispensing, and administration of investigational products (IP), as authorized within your professional scope and study requirements.

You will work closely with Investigators and the clinical research team while remaining independent from blinded study personnel.

This is a flexible, on-site position with no guaranteed hours.

Coverage is scheduled according to participant visits, IP shipments, training, and unblinded monitoring needs, generally Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

We aim to provide at least one week's notice whenever coverage is required.

Candidates must live in London, Ontario or within practical commuting distance of the site.

What you'll do Ensure the safety, well-being, and positive experience of all study participants.

Review study protocols, pharmacy manuals, and required training to accurately perform delegated unblinded study activities.

Prepare, handle, dispense, and administer investigational products, including subcutaneous injections and infusions, within professional scope and study requirements.

Receive and manage investigational product shipments when unblinded personnel are required on site.

Maintain accurate IP inventory, storage, temperature, accountability, reconciliation, pharmacy binders, and preparation records.

Use study randomization and IWRS/IRT systems to identify and assign investigational product as required.

Protect study blinding and complete accurate, timely unblinded study documentation.

Support participant visits and unblinded monitoring visits while collaborating with Investigators, sponsors, monitors, and the clinical research team.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You

Are a Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario, or a Pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists. Are authorized and comfortable preparing and administering subcutaneous injections and infusions within your professional scope. Demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, flexibility, and the ability to follow protocols, GCP, and site procedures. Live in London, Ontario or within practical commuting distance and can reliably attend weekday study activities with advance notice. Have clinical research, investigational product, or unblinded study experience; this is an asset but not required, and study-specific training will be provided.

Requirements

Candidates must be a Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario or a Pharmacist with the Ontario College of Pharmacists. You must be comfortable performing injections and infusions and be able to work on-site in London, Ontario.

Ontario nursing roles need licensed, experienced clinicians

Ontario nursing roles are often driven by ongoing staffing needs across hospitals, long-term care, community care, and emergency settings. Competition is usually strongest for candidates who already hold the required registration, have at least 18 months of experience, and bring current CPR/BLS, with ACLS and CTAS adding value for emergency postings. Review the AI-summarized requirements and benefits on this page to save research time, then confirm your credentials and tailor your application to the specific unit or setting.
