Position Overview Foundation Health is seeking an Obstetrician-Gynecologist (OB/GYN) to join our growing specialty team.
This role includes providing comprehensive gynecologic and obstetrical care in a community-based setting, with opportunities to build a focused practice aligned with your clinical interests.
Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive gynecologic care, including: Routine well-woman exams and cervical cancer screening Menstrual disorders and hormonal management Contraception (including IUD and implant insertion/removal) Menopause and perimenopausal care Management of gynecologic conditions (e.g., fibroids, endometriosis, PCOS) Provide obstetrical care (if applicable), including: Prenatal and postnatal care Labour and delivery participation (based on hospital privileges and call structure) Perform office-based procedures such as: Endometrial biopsies Colposcopy and treatment of cervical dysplasia Minor surgical procedures Collaborate with family physicians, midwives, and other specialists to ensure continuity of care Provide patient education and counselling on reproductive health Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems Participate in quality improvement and program development initiatives
Medical degree with licensure in Ontario (or eligibility through CPSO) Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology (Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada) Experience in both gynecology and obstetrics preferred (flexible depending on practice focus) Ability to obtain hospital privileges (if participating in obstetrics) Strong clinical, procedural, and communication skills Compensation & Structure Administrative, nursing, and procedural support Established referral network within Foundation Health Flexible scheduling Why Join Foundation Health?
