We are expanding our respiratory and sleep services to better support patients with chronic and acute respiratory conditions and cardiopulmonary needs.
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate part-time Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our home care team. The RT will work with patients in their home and play a key role in supporting them with respiratory conditions, conducting pulmonary testing, educating patients on respiratory therapies, and collaborating with physicians and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes. This role is ideal for a Respiratory Therapist who enjoys being hands on in patient care, is looking for part time work and who thrives in an entrepreneurial and independent environment. Key Responsibilities Clinical Care & Testing Perform Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) including spirometry, lung volumes, and diffusion studies Assess and monitor patients with asthma, COPD, sleep apnea, and other respiratory disorders Support oxygen therapy assessments and education Patient Education & Therapy Management Educate patients on inhaler techniques, oxygen use and respiratory care plans Monitor adherence to respiratory therapies and provide follow-up support Develop individualized respiratory care plans in collaboration with the care team Collaboration & Documentation Work closely with family physicians, specialists, and allied health staff Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR Participate in case reviews and quality improvement initiatives Equipment & Program Support Maintain and calibrate respiratory diagnostic equipment Support inventory management for respiratory and sleep therapy supplies
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in good standing with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO) Current BCLS certification Experience with pulmonary function testing Strong patient education and communication skills Proficient with EMR systems Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Preferred Experience Experience in outpatient or clinic-based respiratory care COPD, asthma education, and chronic disease management Experience working with patients in-home

Candidates must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in good standing with the CRTO and hold current BCLS certification. Experience with pulmonary function testing and sleep therapy is preferred, along with strong communication skills and EMR proficiency.
