The Health Care Aide provides direct personal care to residents under the supervision of nursing staff. They are responsible for meeting resident needs while following established policies and the nursing process of assessment and evaluation.
Directly accountable to the Direction of Resident Care and under the direction of the Registered Nurse and/or Licensed Practical Nurse, the Health Care Aide acts as a member of the health care team and is responsible for performing and assisting with duties related to meeting resident personal needs in accordance with established policies and procedures. The Health Care Aide must be able to function effectively in a dynamic and demanding environment utilizing nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The position of Health Care Aide functions in a manner consistent with, and supports the mission, vision and values of Betel Home Foundation.
