Provide subject matter expertise in nursing to support client-centered care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Work with families and clinical teams to develop medical safety plans.
Consult with families and clinical teams on medical conditions, medication side effects/risks and benefits, infectious diseases, and other nursing-related subject matters.
Obtain informed consent for medication administration and medical safety plans.
Support ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of documentation of health data in the health record.
Liaise with regional public health departments, school boards, and other community partners as needed.
Provide education and training to clients, their families, and clinical teams.
Provide general nursing and health and safety subject matter expertise and support to the program as needed

Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent.
Member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Proof of Personal Professional Liability Insurance.
Recent experience and expertise in mental health/psychiatry.
Knowledge of normal child/youth growth and development.
Excellent nursing clinical assessment and intervention skills.
Proven facilitation, communication and counselling skills.
Excellent and proven goal-directed, solution-focused interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
Fluency in French language (written and oral) is an asset.
Successful Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening or Criminal Broad Record Check (based on position) and completed Pre-Employment Medical certificate.
