Support adults with developmental disabilities eligible for CLBC services in a respectful, person-centered, culturally grounded manner.
Assist with activities of daily living, life skills, personal care, health and wellness, community participation, and recreational activities.
Promote independence, dignity, choice, and community belonging.
Work with the Community Inclusion (CLBC) Coordinator on case management tasks, including daily/weekly logs of activities.
Establish and maintain professional support relationships that nurture self-determination and personal growth.
Support meaningful connections with friends, family, elders, advocates, and community support while maintaining professional boundaries.
Participate in planning, implementation, review, and adjustment of individualized support plans with the Manager.
Support individuals in following health, nutrition, and dietary plans and participate in wellness activities aligned to goals.
Support independence through community food services (Community Food Centre and Food Bank services as needed).
Maintain communication regarding appointments and service needs.
Assist participants with completing forms (electronic or paper).
Assist with accounting activities including payroll information, mileage/expense forms, petty cash, purchase orders, and receipts as needed.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in community interactions.
Perform other related duties as required
High school diploma or equivalent.
1–2 years of experience in community home care, disability support services, community inclusion, or special needs support services.
Community Support Worker Certificate or equivalent education/training is an asset.
Valid Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification (obtained and maintained throughout employment).
Willing to work with people with diverse abilities and demonstrate personal suitability to promote dignity, independence, individuality, and inclusion.
Motivated self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
Culturally respectful and professional interactions.
Ability to work independently in clients' homes and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills; ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
Knowledge of and genuine interest in Lil'wat Nation territory, culture, and history is an asset.
Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.
Willing to obtain a BC Class 4 Unrestricted Driver's License within three (3) months of employment (unless otherwise approved).
Ability to provide a clear Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector screening
