The Occupational Therapist will provide assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation to patients in the Psychosis Recovery and Treatment Unit. The role involves using evidence-based interventions and Cognitive Adaptation Training to engage clients in structured activities before community reintegration.
The Clinical Care Program is currently seeking a full-time, permanent Occupational Therapist to work in the Psychosis Recovery and Treatment Unit 6 (PRT 6). Reporting to the Unit Manager, you will be a member of an interprofessional team. As an Occupational Therapist you will be working toward enabling patients, through assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to motivate and engage them into structured activities and programming before they re-integrate into the community. Using evidence based intervention, clients are provided with specialized psychiatric and discipline specific assessment along with intensive care using Cognitive Adaptation Training principles.
