Job Description
The community of Halifax is seeking a full scope family physician to join their family practice network team at the Hydrostone Medical Centre, centrally located and easily accessible by bus. When at full complement, this clinic has three Family Physicians, a physician assistant, and a Psychiatrist on site. The space available for an incoming physician at this clinic includes two large spacious rooms. This is a professionally managed clinic and is well supported by experienced staff. Responsibilities
Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; Advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners Act as a patient’s advocate Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements Expected Hours Full time Remuneration $375,000 - $400,000 Remuneration type is either Longitudinal Family Medicine payment model or a Fee for Service payment model.
