Provide quality patient care within a delivery model in accordance with RVH philosophy, policies, and standards of care.
Provide professional, accountable nursing care as a Registered Nurse.
Care for patients with serious cardiology conditions requiring advanced monitoring and/or interventions.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary CCU team to provide patient- and family-centered care.
Support continuous quality improvement and customer service concepts.
Maintain professional growth and development of self and others
Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Current BCLS required.
Current ACLS preferred; must obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire.
Critical Care certificate preferred.
CC1 and CC2 required; must agree to complete critical care certificate within 2 years.
Pass a screening arrhythmia quiz with a minimum of 80% to move to interview phase.
IABP experience preferred.
Additional formal educational requirements/certifications as required in the department.
Membership in a professional association specific to nursing service area.
Computer literacy in current software applications.
Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and development and to Continuous Quality Improvement and Customer Service.
Ability to function independently within scope of practice and demonstrate communication, conflict resolution, decision-making, and organizational skills
