  • Job Title Registered Nurse Program & Department Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre -> Cardiovascular Program -> Cardiac Care Unit Regular / Temporary Temporary Full / Part Time Full-Time Temporary End Date (Anticipated) 12 September 2027 Union ONA Requisition Close Date 20 July 2026 FTE 1.00 Salary Plan / Job Grade $41.15 - $58.98 ( ON_02 ) Job Posting Reason Temporary Backfill Job Summary & Requirements The Cardiac Care Unit is a 7-bed inpatient unit with all private rooms, highly specialized unit staffed and equipped to care for patients with serious cardiology conditions that require advanced monitoring and or interventions. The CCU is a multidisciplinary health care team that works with patients and their loved ones as they arrive to the unit. The multidisciplinary CCU team, including cardiologists, registered nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, dieticians, social workers and other allied health professionals that work collaboratively to provide excellence and high quality patient and family centered care. As the Registered Nurse (RN) you are a professional caregiver who is responsible and accountable for providing quality patient care within a delivery model in accordance with the philosophy, policies and standards of care of the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH), the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and all relevant legislation. As a qualified candidate you will have the following job requirements:
  • Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current BCLS is required
  • Current ACLS is preferred, must obtain ACLS with in 6 months of hire
  • Critical Care certificate preferred
  • CC1 and CC2 required and must agree to complete critical care certificate with in 2 years
  • Must pass a screening arrhythmia quiz obtaining an minimum of 80% to move onto interview phase.
  • IABP experience preferred
  • Additional formal educational requirements/certifications as required in department
  • Membership in professional association specific to nursing service area
  • Computer literacy in current software applications
  • Demonstrated commitment to the professional growth and development of self and others

Requirements

Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Current BCLS required.
