Community occupational therapist, complex auto – kingston, on
CBI Health is Canada's leading community healthcare provider. Our national interdisciplinary network of healthcare staff and professionals is over 2,500 strong, and we continue to find ways to innovate our services to provide better recovery and support for our clients.
We’re changing how healthcare is experienced. We believe it starts with putting our clients first. Our diverse healthcare team works together with our clients to address all parts of their life, to provide data-driven solutions and better health outcomes. Working in communities across Ontario, our Community Rehabilitation Services team treats clients who’ve experienced mental stress injuries and motor vehicle accidents, focusing on a return to pre-accident function.
Occupational Therapists within our Complex Auto program assess and treat clients presenting with various physical (musculoskeletal, orthopaedic), cognitive (TBIs, concussions) and psychosocial abilities, including non-CAT and CAT files. Working in a community setting, you will complete in-home and hospital discharge assessments, ergonomic assessments, concussion treatment, cognitive rehabilitation, mental health treatment, and several other interventions. Our program is unlike any other, as our OTs do not experience the common hardships of being a private practice OT in this space (i.e. lack of support, pressure and influence from plaintiff counsel, and regularly denied OCF18s). CBI Health has developed a strong and collaborative relationship with both our Auto Insurance providers and Legal Representatives, which allows our OTs to focus on providing client-centered clinical work.
This program gives OTs the opportunity to provide ‘start to finish care’ to their clients, from the acute stages of injury, all the way through return to pre-MVA function, making this work more meaningful and rewarding (rather than just assessing for benefits)!
