Your role As a Nurse Practitioner (NP) with Community Nursing, you will provide comprehensive health care to community members in rural Yukon. You have a passion to serve our rural/remote and First Nations communities blending your research, specialized nursing knowledge, experience in complex decision-making, and legislated authority to provide advanced practice primary heath care to meet the health needs of individuals and families. As an NP in community, you act as an important link between clients and health services where you seek to strike a balance between autonomous practice and a broader collaborative model of care that includes primary health care nurses, family physicians, community health nurses and other allied health professionals (i.e. optometrists, dentists, etc.).
