Job Summary Provide comprehensive nursing and psychiatric care to patients across clinical settings.
Deliver assessments, treatments, patient education, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and safety.
Number of Positions 2 Main Duties Perform comprehensive nursing and psychiatric assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to orders and monitor patient responses and side effects.
Provide crisis intervention, therapeutic support, and mental health nursing interventions for patients with psychiatric needs.
Monitor and document patients' physical and mental status, reporting significant changes to the healthcare team.
Coordinate care with physicians, allied health professionals, and community services to ensure continuity and discharge planning.
Maintain accurate patient records, ensure compliance with professional standards, and participate in quality improvement activities.
Degree or diploma in nursing from a recognized educational program. Current registration in good standing with the provincial or territorial nursing regulatory authority. Relevant clinical experience in acute care, mental health, or community nursing settings. Current CPR/basic life support certification and any required clinical competencies. Ability to perform physical tasks related to patient care, including safe patient handling and mobility assistance. Clear criminal record check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility policies.
