Reporting to the Rural Health Manager, the Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients as a member of a multidisciplinary team; is responsible and accountable for coordinating and administering direct patient care utilizing the nursing process; provides direction to staff and volunteers; and responds to emergency situations to safeguard patients, visitors and staff in accordance with the unit/program philosophy, competency guidelines, policies, and the BC College of Nurses and Midwives Standards for Nursing Practice.
Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
Two (2) years' recent related experience including medical/surgical and emergency settings (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).
Basic Life Support (Level C) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support for Emergency Room preferred.
Valid BC Driver's License.
Ability to apply the nursing process, communicate effectively, and respond appropriately in emergencies
