Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
Basic Life Support (Level C) for general duty staff nurse positions.
Post-basic education for clinical areas and up to one (1) year of recent related experience (or equivalent combination).
Specialty unit nurse positions require specialty certification for the unit (e.g., Operating Room, Post Anesthetic Recovery, Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Psychiatry).
Critical Care, Emergency and Intensive Care nurse positions require Advanced Cardiac Life Support and specialty certification (up to two (2) years recent related experience or equivalent).
Ability to apply the nursing process effectively.
Physical ability to perform duties.
Effective communication verbally and in writing.
Ability to remain calm and act appropriately in stressful and emergency situations.
Criminal Record Check required (CRC required)
