Public Health Inspector practicum must be complete to qualify.
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health (or equivalent) recognized by the Board of Certification, Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors.
Certificate in Public Health Inspection (Canada) issued by the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors; registered or eligible to be registered.
Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License and possession of a personal vehicle.
Ability to teach clients and others (one-on-one and in groups).

Using a variety of professional and technical skills, the position reduces the incidence of communicable disease, injury, and health hazards; performs technical assessments; provides consultative and education services; ensures that community development does not conflict with a healthy environment; ensures compliance with environment health legislation, policy, and standards. Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health or equivalent, recognized by the Board of Certification, Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors.
Certificate in Public Health Inspection (Canada) issued by the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors and be registered or eligible to be registered with the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors.
