The Physician Assistant serves as a key liaison between physicians, nurses, and the medical team, ensuring coordinated and compassionate care for patients. They play a critical role in delivering effective, patient-centered healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Optimize physician schedule according to physician needs and capacity.
• Assist physician in ensuring all aspects of charting are up to date and complete.
• Transcribe verbal patient communication on behalf of physician into EMR.
• Assist in EMR administration.
• Provide worksheets and stamps to physician prior to commencing shift.
• Flag abnormal test results.
• Transcribe verbal conversation between the physician and the patient into EMR. Physician to review and revise documentation and provide final sign off.
• Maintain a friendly demeanor with patients while still enforcing the rules and policies of the workplace.
• Remind patients about in-house pharmacy, self-management, and other programs.
• Prepare and print all necessary paperwork. (ie. billing sheets, requisitions, prescriptions, etc.)
• Transcribes consultation reports and treatment plan as per physician direction.
• Other duties may be assigned based on the specific needs of the healthcare facility.

Qualifications

• A minimum two (2) years of experience in a medical administrative role. Clinic experience preferred.
• Proficiency with medical software preferred (OSCAR)
• Friendly and approachable demeanor
• Ability to travel to multiple clinics
