Provide compassionate and competent nursing care within an ambulatory oncology setting following the UHN Professional Practice Model. Ensure all practice aligns with the College of Nurses of Ontario standards and participate in continuous professional learning.
Requires current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario and B.C.L.S. certification. Oncology nursing experience is required, while a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and chemotherapy certification are preferred.

As a member multi-disciplinary Team, the Registered Nurse practices in accordance with relevant legislation/standards, the UHN Professional Practice Model and the mission and vision of nursing at the UHN to provide compassionate, collaborative and competent care, while meeting the legal and ethical requirements of the profession.

Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario required Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred Certificate in Oncology Nursing and/or CNA Oncology Certification preferred. Minimum three (3) years nursing experience in an Ambulatory setting preferred. Oncology nursing experience required Current B.C.L.S. certification required. Chemotherapy / Biotherapy certification preferred Demonstrated ability to utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing and evaluating care Good verbal and written communication skills Evidence of co-operative and facilitative relationships while working with a multidisciplinary team, and the ability to work independently Evidence of good psycho-social and patient / family teaching skills Demonstrated leadership / in-charge skills, and evidence of strong organizational and decision making skills Evidence of commitment to self-directed learning
