Under the supervision of the Operations Manager - BreastCheck, the incumbent will be responsible for providing and performing quality service to the clients of BreastCheck at the Winnipeg and Mobile Screening clinics, in an effective, efficient, and safe manner.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Radiological Technology education program.
Successful completion of Breast Imaging 1 and Breast Imaging 2 CAMRT courses. If no one meets this qualification, CCMB reserves the right to consider completion of courses within two years.
A member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists - Manitoba (CAMRT-MB) or eligible to obtain and be an active member prior to start date.
Compliant with Canadian Association of Radiology (CAR) continuing education requirements for Mammography Technologists.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in working in a Digital Imaging department using RIS, PACS, and EMR systems.
Must have a valid Manitoba Driver’s License. Must provide a current Driver’s Abstract upon hire.
Must be able to work flexible work schedules including weekends & evenings, and willing to travel (drive and fly) to communities across Manitoba, including Northern and remote communities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Must be in good physical health to meet the requirements of the position including lifting up to 25 pounds.
Must hold a satisfactory employment record.
Must be able to legally work in Canada
Must have a thorough understanding and knowledge of positioning and compression, clinical and technical factors - including radiation safety, radiation protection, and quality control – relevant to perform the duties
Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
Ability to work independently, as well as a positive member of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Previous mammography experience
Knowledge of Population Health and Screening Programs.
Experience using Maxon BSP and PenRad.
Ability to speak French
