The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers quality patient care by assessing needs and implementing medical plans within the Maternal Child Unit. They provide essential education, advice, and support to patients and their families while following professional nursing processes.
Candidates must be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario and hold BLS, NRP, and Basic Cardiac Arrhythmias certifications. Experience in Maternal/Child nursing and proficiency with the Meditech system are required.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a valued member of the interdisciplinary team within the department and organization. They are responsible for the coordination and delivery of quality patient care by assessing and identifying patient needs, implementing and monitoring the patients’ medical plan, and following HPHA policies and procedures. Additionally, the Registered Nurse must follow nursing processes within the profession’s and licensures scope of practice. They will provide education, advice and support to patients and family members.
