Physiotherapist

As a member of the healthcare team, the Physiotherapist coordinates, assesses and evaluates patient care and provides physiotherapy care to meet the needs of patients on 7 South. The Physiotherapist collaborates with interdisciplinary team members and community agencies in the provision of care and discharge planning for patients and their families. There are opportunities to be a student preceptor on this unit.

• 1.
• Current Registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario 2.
• Baccalaureate degree in Physiotherapy 3.
• Current knowledge and experience in the management of surgical patients 4.
• Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills 5.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team including physiotherapy assistants 6.
• Neurological experience preferred 7.
• Current Heart and Stroke Foundation course in CPR or equivalent preferred
